We are having audtions for The Desperate Hours on March 22, 2010 at 7:00PM at Bowersox Insurance Company, 3537 South Kingshighway Blvd. (corner of Kingshighway and Pernod). Production dates are May 13, 14, and 15 and will be performed at The Black Cat Theater on Sutton.
The Desperate Hours is about 3 escaped convicts holding a family of 4 hostage for several days. The main convict is out to kill the local sheriff. It is a wonderfully intense drama. There were 2 movies made of this, the original starred Humphry Bogat and the remake starred Mickey Rourke – the original, of course, is much better.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. There are roles for 11 men, 3 women, 1 boy about 10-11.
