Auditions for all voice parts for the 2010-2011 season are being held on Tuesday July 27th and Thursday August 12th from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. at University Lutheran Church of Hope in Minneapolis. Any interested adult singer in the Twin Cities region with a musical background may audition.
Desirable singer qualities include:
experience in choral singing
ability to learn music quickly and independently
commitment for entire 2010-2011 season (schedule available at audition)
conscientious advance preparation before rehearsals
Auditions are scheduled by appointment, either by filling out our audition form online, or by calling 612-597-5483.
The 20-minute audition consists of performing a solo song in a language other than English, sight-singing with a quartet of our singers, and range tests. Please bring a prepared piece (art song, folk song, hymn tune). We can provide an accompanist for your audition upon request.
