Chicago Theater Casting Notice
First Folio Theatre will be holding auditions for Blithe Spirit & The Woman in Black
This is a paying gig
The theater is located at Mayslake Peabody Estate in Oak Brook
Blithe Spirit
Casting the following roles:
1 Man 40’s-50’s for Dr. Bradman (US Charles)
1 Woman late 30’s-40’s Mrs. Bradman (US Ruth or Elivira)
1 Intern Male – US Dr. Bradman
1 Intern Female – US Edith, Mrs. Bradman, and Ruth or Elivira
For The Woman in Black
casting the following roles:
2 Interns Male – one to US The Actor and one to US Arthur Kipps
1 Intern Female – tall, VERY thin, late 20’s-30’s for The Woman.
All intern positions include 30 hours of set construction and 10 of strike. You MUST have some daytime availability, for the set work hours and also for possible matinees.
Please do not apply if you do not have a flexible job situation! There is no housing or transportation offered. There is also no public transportation to our site in Oak Brook, but ride-sharing is possible.
For Blithe Spirit the First rehearsal Jan. 17 (Possible First Read Jan. 8 or 9 or 10) Run: Feb. 2 – March 6
For The Woman in Black the First rehearsal March 7 (Possible First read Feb 28?) Run: March 30 – May 1
The notice is for headshot and resume submission only. Please read the notice carefully, and submit materials in the manner outlined below: In order to be considered you must do the following:
1. Be sure that “Audition Submission” is in the subject line of your email.
2. Save your headshot and resume as a single PDF file with your NAME in the title of the document.
3. Send your materials prior to the September 6th submission deadline. Thank you!
