HISPANIC MALES – One Deaf/HOH & One Hearing
CASTING
Seeking the following:
MALE ONE [Voice FREDY]: 40+, Hispanic, [Preferences, although not necessary: Small Frame, Knowledge of American Sign Language].
MALE TWO [Deaf FREDY]: 40+, Hispanic, Hearing Impaired (Deaf) or Hard-Of-Hearing [if possible], Must be fluent in American Sign Language
Will consider a hispanic female for Deaf Fredy role . . .
[The play is ‘Same As Me’: A monologue about the experience of being a Guatemalan deaf man in America, and his experience becoming a father.
Both actors will play the same role; with the hearing actor speaking the words of the deaf actor. And interaction between the two]
ALSO INTERESTED IN: An Assistant Director for this . . . to handle the Saturday auditions. It would be best if the Director is fluent in ASL.
