Auditions – Open Call for Feature Film “The Blinds”

‘The Blinds’ is a new feature film shooting on the RED ONE camera from Writer/Director David A. Cross (GhostWatcher, GhostWatcher II, Respire).

Audition information for Blinds, a new feature film by Writer/Director David A. Cross which will be shooting Spring/Summer 2010.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, April 17th from 10:00am-6:00pm. No appointment is necessary. If you arrive anytime after 6:00pm, chances are you will not be granted an audition so please try to arrive prior to that time.

We are now accepting video submissions for those who are out of state but only if you have lodging accommodations in Maryland. Please do not submit a video audition if you do not have accommodations here. Unfortunately, lodging cannot be reimbursed on this production. Deadline for submitting video auditions is Saturday, April 17th.

This is a NON-SAG, NON-UNION production so, unfortunately, we will not be able to audition anyone who belongs to the Guild unless you are able to make arrangements to work on a non-union feature. Please do not audition without checking first. All roles are paid. Sides for the auditions can be downloaded in pdf format by clicking on each character’s name on the left. Adam – mid 20’s to early 30’s, a pompous, no-nonsense poker player with more than a little attitude to go along with his skills.

Grace – mid 20’s to early 30’s, sassy and outspoken, her family is the most important thing in the world.

Beth – mid-to-late 20’s, is a seasoned poker player and usually reserved woman who never goes anywhere without her trusty baseball cap on her head.

Colin – mid to late 40’s, a well-dressed millionaire who sponsors an annual poker tournament.

Tom – mid 20’s to early 30’s, is the right hand man to Colin, the millionaire who sponsors the poker tournament. He’s professional but with a dark side. He can turn from friend to foe in an instant.

Vito – early 30’s to late 40’s, built, a thug, Tom’s go-to guy for violence which he can commit without the blink of an eye.

Christmas – early to late 20’s, Christmas (her stage name) is an exotic dancer at a men’s club. This role could possibly require nudity.

Kyle – mid to late 20’s, is a bachelor about to take the plunge.

Juliet – mid to late 40’s, the wife of the millionaire Colin and the woman whose hit and run accident starts the plot in motion.

Jeff – 18-25, tries to do the right thing when he makes a horrible discovery.

Megan – 18-25, Jeff’s girlfriend who doesn’t want to be involved in what her boyfriend finds.

In addition to the above roles, we are also seeking women from 21-30 to play dancers in a scene at a men’s club. These roles would require at least partial nudity.
