Open Dance auditions for the Connecticut Ballet
Connecticut Ballet will hold open auditions for children’s roles in its upcoming production of the full-length ballet “Coppelia”.
Ballet auditions for children will be held on Sunday, 8/29. Please see the time schedule below for details.
breakdown of audition times by age and ability:
- Children ages 5-6 – 2:00-3:00pm, children ages 7-10 – 3:00-3:30pm
- children ages 10-15 with a minimum of three years ballet training – 3:30-4:30pm
- adults and teens interested in non-dance character parts – 4:30-5:00pm.
Note that children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and should arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time.
Hair should be properly fastened and dance attire is required. Boys and girls are encouraged to tryout.
Sunday, August 29th from 2:00-5:00pm at the Living Well Centre (former home of Hartford Ballet and Hartt Conservatory of Dance), 224 Farmington Avenue, Hartford. Sunday rehearsals will commence the first week of September and the public performances at The Bushnell are Friday, October 29th and Saturday, October 30th.
