Called “ a testament to the virtues of laughing,” Fabulous is the retelling of the bible with Adam and Steve; Jane and Mabel beginning in the Garden of Eden, surviving the centuries including time on the ark, slavery in Egypt and finally life in contemporary New York. Simultaneously campy and thoughtful, Paul Rudnick’s play is a delightful mélange of hilarious one-liners, philosophical introspection and a celebration of the very fabulousness of gay culture (and otherwise) throughout the ages.
