With funding from the National Institute of Aging, Sociometrics Corporation (www.socio.com) is developing a computer-based health education application called Know the Risks/HIV Over 50. The tool is being designed to provide critically needed HIV prevention and sexual health education resources to older adults. The application includes an HIV risk screener and learning activities center; all activities are to be narrated by adults 50 and older.
What are you seeking?
We are currently working on a question and answer video for our project. We are seeking individuals over 50 years old to read aloud one question. We will film several takes and anticipate the total work time to be approximately 10-15 minutes. You do not need any prior acting or narration experience (but non-union actors are welcome). We will ask for an ID to validate your age. Questions concern sexual health topics, asked “person-on-the-street” style to a health educator. Video subjects need to be comfortable asking questions of a sensitive nature dealing with topics such as: menopause, sexual risks, erectile dysfunction, sexual behaviors, etc. Finally, video subjects must sign a one-page Model Release form
Where and when is the job?
We will be shooting in the morning of Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 at a San Francisco park close to major Muni bus and rail lines.
What does it pay?
Video subjects will receive a $15 gift card to Walgreens for their time.
