Now in old age, Ben, tells the story of his childhood, growing up as an evacuee in rural Wales. This short film follows his emotional changes as he becomes aware of the people around him.

breakdowns:
Male 31-40 yrs.
Owen, Bens father, after being posted overseas, returns from the war to embrace his son.

Female 31-40 yrs.
Rose, Bens mother, is destraught to say goodbye to him. She eventually finds happiness holding him in her arms once again.

Female 31-40 yrs.
Gwen is now taking care of the two boys. Having had no children of her own she is finding it a difficult task. To add yet more strain to her new found situation, she endevours to hide her personal worries from the boys. (will accept applications from slightly younger persons)

Male 6-10 yrs.
Being slightly younger than Ben, Edward is happy to dig deep into his playful imagination and allow the world to pass him by. His happiness comes to an abrupt end when a small memory he clings to is taken away from him. (again will accept applications from slightly older persons)

Male 11-14 yrs.
Unable to warm to his new surroundings, Ben is continually worried about his father who is away with the war effort. He longs to be with his mother and refuses to come out of his shell despite efforts from the people he is billeted with. However, this is to change when he discovers a kindred spirit. (will accept applications from slightly older persons)
