Sacred Fools Theater Company in Hollywood is CASTING for Forbidden Zone: Live in the Sixth Dimension! The live stage-musical adaptation of the 1982 cult film classic scored by Danny Elfman and directed by Richard Elfman. It’s a bawdy, sexy sci-fi/fantasy romp through Hell and back. Imagine “Alice in Wonderland” filtered through a surrealistic cartoon lens complete with sex, demons and talking chickens. A vast array of musical styles are explored throughout the play, from New Wave to American Jazz Standards.

KING FAUSTO – Little person, Male, any ethnicity, 25-40, some singing, some dancing.
The King of the Forbidden Zone, must be comfortable with comedic love scenes. Powerful and delightfully insane. Must have a buoyant personality.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
A one-minute dramatic monologue as your favorite cartoon character; 16 bars (about one minute) of an American Standard from the 30’s or 40’s; and be prepared to move as an animal of your choice… we will tell you what to do. Be prepared to have fun and to commit to zaniness.

into a darker realm with a fierce new multi-media translation of Bertolt Brecht’s Baal (LA Weekly GO!), followed by a nightmarish dive
into the suburban hell of Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom. We conclude with a freefall celebration of weirdness, the new
adaptation of a midnight movie musical cult classic, Forbidden Zone: Live in the 6th Dimension is directed by Scott Leggett, 2009 LA Weekly
