Toronto Auditions – The Applicant

SYNOPSIS: Two Aliens come down to Earth (in abducted human bodies) in order to confirm its application to the Inter-Galactic Confederation of Peace. But nothing prepares them for what they discover.
PROJECT: Short Film (12 mins), Comedy.
NON-UNION
ROLE: Captain, approximately 65 years-old. Shabby, homeless, clueless, and naive. He is a great sentient leader in his real form, and is completely unaware to the irony of his temporary human body. He arrives with great excitement and hope for the human race, but is slowly discouraged into shock and utter confusion.
AUDITION DATE: July 24th, 2010.
DIRECTOR: Izabela Ciesinska wrote, directed and co-produced the short film NEDE which will premiere at the Montreal World Film Festival in August/September 2010.

This is a non-paying gig, 2 shooting days, 3-4 rehearsals (2-3 hours each). This will be a festival piece scheduled for release in 2011. Filming is scheduled for mid-October, 2010.
