Child Auditions for Theater.
Lexington Youth Summer Theatre, Lexingtom, Connecticut, (LYST) is looking for children currently in grades 3-11 to audition for its summer production of “Grease”.
As a cooperative theatre company, LYST relies on parents to donate their time and talent to put on a successful show. Parent jobs range from publicity, ticket sales and program ad sales to set building, costume design, and backstage assistance.
Auditions will be held Sunday, May 9 and Monday, May 10, from 6-8 p.m. at 3 Militia Drive (lower level), Lexington.
Callbacks are May 12th by invitation only. Performances of Grease are scheduled for July 22, 23, and 24.
Children should come with a song memorized and MUST be accompanied by a parent. Parents, please bring your calendars as you will be asked to give us your child’s rehearsal availability over the summer. You do NOT need to live in Lexington to participate!
Children, parents, directors, and the LYST board work together to put on a fun and engaging musical for audiences of all ages! LYST is a nonprofit organization that fosters children’s theatrical abilities, creativity, cooperation and community spirit. Proceeds from performances are donated to charities chosen by the cast.
