Dance auditions for Contemporary and Modern dancers to work with Navarasa Dance Theater’s upcoming shows in Sep-Oct.
About the dance company:
Navarasa Dance Theater is a contemporary dance theater company founded by renowned dancer and choreographer, Aparna Sindhoor in 1991 in Mysore, India. The creative team of Aparna Sindhoor, SM.Raju (Rajendran Sivasankaran) and Anil Natyaveda has created works that is new in style and content. They have created over fifteen full length dance theater works and presented them at sold out shows to diverse audiences. Aparna Sindhoor and Anil Natyaveda have toured extensively in North America, Europe and India, and has been invited to perform at various venues including the Jacob’s Pillow, New Haven Festival of Arts and Ideas, World Social Forum, New World Theater (Amherst, MA), Teesri Duniya Theater (Montreal, Canada,)Amol Palekar’s Theater Festival (Pune, India,)and Edinburgh Festival.
Audition address is 16 gibbens st, 16 Gibbens St, somerville. Dancers will be payed for shows, there is no pay for rehearsals.
