Mississippi Film Auditions / Extras
Dreamworks Studios will be filming the feature film “The Help” In and around Greenwood this summer. An open casting call has been issued for background and extras.
The Help is based on Jackson native Kathryn Stockett’s best-selling novel by the same name. The story, set in 1962 Jackson, involves the interactions of white women and their black maids at the outset of the civil rights movement.
The call seeks men and women of all ages to work as background actors in nonspeaking parts. No experience is necessary.

Applicants must bring a recent snapshot no larger than 4-by-6 inches (not returnable) and a pen. Those without photos won’t be considered.
