Casting Calls: Full cast needed for “In these Walls”.
We are seeking actors for a play. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script and a prepared monologue.. Sides will be provided at auditions. Head shots are preferred but not required.
IN THESE WALLS explores the thoughts and feelings that African-American men experience in their interpersonal relationships. With both drama and humor the audience is granted an access into the minds of men that illustrates, educates, and even may offend. These themes are illustrated through the conflicts of the principle characters: a painter transitioning from a corporate world to a more creative lifestyle; a marketing rep laboring to reach a level of achievement that will ensure security; a restaurateur enjoying the spoils of his success; and a college student looking for a special connection.
