Seeking Composer | MO

I’m an award winning playwright and librettist in search of a composer to complete work on a full-length musical entitled “Starfest.” The musical has been in development for several years, and I have recently completed the book and lyrics. I’m looking for a composer to collaborate with on developing the music for the show. “Starfest” is a parody of the campy, sci-fi genre such as the Flash Gordon serials with an urban twist. The major roles are portrayed by Afro-Americans, and the music is a blend of R&B, rock, gospel and traditional musical theatre. The composer needs to be proficient in pop musical style and able to write music for complicated singing scenes. The book and lyric have been completed.
