EMMY Award-Winning, RWS and Associates Entertainment Inc., (Ryan Stana, Exec. Producer) is casting Rock Band, Live!, a world premiere stage show based on the hit MTV video game. Performers must be available for the following dates: New York City Workshop April 5 – April 23, 2010 and Tour May 23 – September 6, 2010.
Seeking-
Band Manager – Male, Strong Actor with good comedic timing and a cool, contemporary and professional look. Rock Voice with good movement abilities needed. Ability to initiate enthusiasm and participation with the crowd an absolute must. Improv skills a plus. He is responsible for the overall momentum of the show, acts as a “Narrator” and has heavy interaction with the participating guests.
Stage Band Lead Vocalist – Male, Loves the spotlight and being the center of attention at all times. He is the total clichE 80’s “hair band has been”. Strong Actor with good comedic timing with the ability to go OVER THE TOP. Great Rock Voice with good movement abilities needed. Special skills such as jumps or any other type of “tricks” a plus. He should be capable of doing a split.
Stage Band Performer #1 – Male, Burnt out Musician type who thinks his skills are unmatchable. Strong Actor with good comedic timing with the ability to go OVER THE TOP. Great Rock Voice with good movement abilities needed. Guitar experience a plus. Special skills such as splits, jumps or any other type of “tricks” a plus.
Roadie – Male, Strong Rock Singer/Dancer with strong acting skills and a sexy, cutting edge style. Friendly with audience members, outgoing personality.
Club Owner – Male, Strong Rock Singer/Dancer with acting skills. Always announces the Bands. Should have an excellent speaking voice. He sports more of a “grunge” look. Friendly with audience members, outgoing personality.
Stage Band Performer #2 – Female, Strong Actress with good comedic timing with the ability to go OVER THE TOP. Great Rock Voice with good movement abilities and great rhythm. Special skills such as drum stick tricks (i.e) spinning/tosses a plus. Drumming experience a plus.
Merch Girl – Female, Strong Rock Singer/Dancer with acting skills. Serves as the Lead Singer for the Audience Band on several occasions so she MUST be able to really belt and command a crowd through her performance.
Character Actress/Singer – Female, Young, Good Looking Rock Singer with high belt/Dancer with great character acting skills. Must be able to play an over the top “mom” type character ala Saturday Night Live. Must have EXCELLENT comedic timing and be able to pull off both a warm and nurturing personality as well as a hard core rocker babe. MUST be able to command a crowd through her performance.
ALL PERFORMERS MUST BE STRONG SINGER/DANCERS BETWEEN THE AGES OF 18-35, HAVE MUSICAL THEATER EXPERIENCE AND BE ATTRACTIVE, FIT AND HAVE A CUTTING EDGE LOOK. ROCK BAND EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS BUT NOT NECESSARY.
