Musical Theater casting call Dallas, TX
Triple threat auditions in Dallas, Texas for a production of “Dream Girls”. The Ensemble: consists of singers and dancers who portray a variety of different groups thought out the play MUST be comfortable singing and dancing.
Casting the following roles:
EFFIE MELODY WHITE: The overweight lead singer of the group with a HUGE voice and a Diva attitude to match.
DEENA JONES: The BEAUTIFUL back up singer who is thrusted into the lead for her marketable looks.
LORRELL ROBINSON: The youngest back up singer who falls in love with Jimmy Early she is the heart of the group.
CURTIS TAYLOR JR.:The cut throat manager of the Dreams, willing to do whatever it takes to make his DREAM come true.
JAMES “THUNDER” EARLY: a Wild entertainer who is a cross between Little Richard and James Brown. He ‘gots’ To have SOUL!
MICHELLE MORRIS: Effie’s replacement when she gets fired…
MARTY: Jimmy’s manager until he quits because of Curtis and then he help’s Effie make a come back
FRANK: Curtis’ right hand man
EDNA: A Vanna White type female at the Apollo Theater
Auditions for Dreamgirls will be Saturday August 28th at The Revershon Recreation Center
3505 Maple Ave. Dallas Tx
from 1pm till 3pm
Please come prepared to sing & dance, please prepare a short monologue.
