Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor® Dreamcoat

Auditions:
Tues., Nov. 16th ….. 7pm – 10pm
(Singing auditions for Narrator, Joseph, Pharaoh and Jacob)

Wed., Nov. 17th ….. 7pm – 10pm
(Dancing /singing auditions for Brothers and Wives)

Callbacks:
Thur., Nov. 18th ….. 7pm – 10pm

Audition Information:
Nov. 16th – Prepare a song in the style of the show that shows you at your best. For the Narrator, Joseph or Pharaoh, also prepare the song excerpts listed below. An accompanist will be provided. NOTE: The costume coordinator will be taking costume measurements at the auditions.

Nov. 17th – There will be a dance/movement call starting at 7pm. Please wear dance / comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes. Also, prepare a song in the style of the show that shows you at your best. An accompanist will be provided. NOTE: The costume coordinator will be taking costume measurements at the auditions.

Character Breakdown:
Narrator – Articulate story teller. Wide singing range. Age range: 20 and up
Joseph – Favorite son of Jacob. Physically fit. Tenor. Age range: 18-30
Pharaoh – Able to impersonate Elvis. Baritone. Age range: 25 and up.
Jacob / Potiphar – Father of 12 sons / A rich Egyptian. Age range: 45+

Brothers:
(Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Benjamin)
Age range: 17-35. Must be able to sing and dance/move well. There are three featured solos (One More Angel, Those Canaan Days and Benjamin’s Calypso) as well as the roles of the Butler and the Baker that will be cast from among the brothers. Will also play Egyptian servants/guards.

Wives / Egyptian entourage:
Age range: 17-35. Must be able to sing and dance/move well. Potential for small singing and dancing solos. Role of Mrs. Potiphar (sexy wife of Potiphar – featured dancing role) will come from the female ensemble.
