Auditions for the musical “The Secret Garden” will be held 6/5 4-7pm & 6/6 7-9pm at Memorial Hall. Come prepared with a song (bring sheet music or a karoke-type CD) and a short memorized monologue or spoken piece (3 sentences min). Call backs will be held Wed. 6/8 from 7-9pm (actors should plan to stay for 2 hrs).
There are roles for young adults and for men and women of all ages. Children’s roles include a female lead and male lead (able to play 10 -13 yrs old), as well a few small roles for older elementary aged children.
The Secret Garden is a musical based on the 1911 novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. It won the 1991 Tony Awards for Best Book of a Musical. This show presents great opportunities for any who enjoy singing and have an interest in acting as well.
The production will be led by director Joshua Farber and musical director Elisabeth Weber.
The show will run Oct. 14,15,16, 21,22,23 with a performance held during the day on Oct. 19th. Full cast rehearsals start August 21 and run every Sun. afternoon 1-4pm, and Mon. – Wed. evenings 7-9pm.
