We are casting five roles, four males and one female, for an original short film titled “The Ransom”, which is being produced by the Cambridge Community Television Drama Club. This film is a Comedic Thriller, so we are looking for actors who have had previous experience with comedy and/or Improv. The roles that are available are listed below.
John – No, no I’m a terrible father. I was late to pick him up last night because I was getting a lap dance at the strip club.
Male Detective – I really thought I would be an actor but I had crippling stage fright and terrible anger issues, so I decided to be a cop instead.
Female Detective – Yes, he is probably going to tell you to meet him somewhere. You could maybe ask him if you could speak with your son.
Friend #1 – I want to be a professor or a teacher. I think that would be the best way to meet girls. I would be that guy they can depend on.
Friend #2 – With shows like Law and Order and CSI, its surprising people even attempt kidnapping anymore.
Auditions will be held on Wednesday March 9th from 6pm-9pm at the Cambridge Community Television station, located at 675 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge, MA. There will be a rehearsal Wednesday March 14th from 6pm-9pm, and shooting will be done on Sunday March 27th from 4pm-9pm and Monday March 28th from 5pm-9pm There is a possibility of another shooting evening in the beginning of April. Actors must be available during these times. If you are interested in being scheduled for an audition, please send your resume and/or headshot to Starlette1999@msn.com A copy of the script will be provided prior to the audition, all actors will be given a time slot when they will be auditioning for the director, please do not arrive more than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time. This is an unpaid job, but all actors wil be given screen credit for participating.
