Philadelphia 76ers are holding auditions for the Sixers dance squad.
The Sixers Dancers are entering their 15th season as an integral part of the Sixers game night entertainment. Off the court, they represent the team throughout the season at promotional and community events.
Philadelphia, Pa. – June 16, 2011 – The Philadelphia 76ers will hold first-round, open auditions for the 2011-12 Sixers Dancers at the Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday, June 21 at 6:00 p.m. Those auditioning must be available for possible call-backs on Wednesday, June 22. The Sixers ask that no observers attend the first-round or call-back auditions.
Dancers interested in auditioning must be at least 18 years of age by June 1, 2011, and have previous dance training. They must submit the application form and two photos (head shot and full-body shot) to the team to be considered in one of three ways: Online at SIXERS.com; by mail to the Wells Fargo Center (3601 S. Broad St., Philadelphia), attention “Sixers Dancers Auditions”; or via mobile phone.
The final round of Sixers Dancers auditions will be held on Wednesday, July 13 at Chickie’s & Pete’s South Philadelphia (1526 Packer Ave.) at 7:00 p.m. The final auditions event is free and open to the public.
