auditions@caldwelltheatre.com and include your contact phone number in body of email OR call (561)995-2324. Email is preferred. Equity Members without appointments will be seen throughout the audition day as time permits, but appointments are strongly suggested.

Please prepare either: two contrasting contemporary music theater songs and a one-minute contemporary monologue (May be asked to only sing one.),
OR (if you are not singing) a short contemporary monologue.

Please bring two (2) stapled-together photo/resumes.

Theatre states, “We strongly encourage South Florida actors to attend.”
Roles are available unless otherwise stated, and Equity contracts remain available.

“Working” by Stephen Schwartz (and others)
Dates: February 7 – April 1, 2012 (includes rehearsal)

Multi-talented singers/actors/strong movement skills. Individuals to portray multiple roles. Must have strong musicianship and ability to blend.

Man 3: Baritone – Late 40’s to Early 50’s. Portrays ironworker, publicist, UPS delivery guy and retiree.

Woman 2: Mezzo with strong belt – Mid 20’s to Late 30’s. African American, portrays project manager, hooker, housewife and cleaning woman.

The following roles have been cast. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.

Man 1: High Baritone/Tenor – Late 20’s to Early 40’s. Portrays a corporate executive, interstate trucker, fireman and salesman. CAST

Man 2: High Baritone/Tenor – Early 20’s to Late 20’s. Hispanic, portrays an ex-copy boy, organizer, delivery guy and stone mason. CAST

Woman 1: Soprano – 30’s. Portrays millworker, flight attendant and receptionist. CAST

Woman 3: Mezzo with strong belt – Early 30’s to Late 30’s. Portrays schoolteacher, political fundraiser and waitress. CAST

Dates: March 27 – May 20, 2012 (includes rehearsal)

Keith Rolnick: Male – 30’s to 40’s. A police detective and cynic trying to come to grips with his past.

Eddie Carmona: Male – Mid 30’s – Late 40’s. A highly intelligent underachiever looking to make up for lost time.

Laura Davis: Female – Early 20’s but can look much older. A crack whore desperate for a new life and redemption.

The following role is cast. Auditioning performers will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.

John Cunningham: Male – Late 30’s – Early 50’s. A police detective and born again Christian. CAST
