Posting Title: Actor required for one day shoot for film contest

Experienced local writer and producer are looking to team up with local male/female actor for a one-day shoot in Vancouver. The shoot is for a competition held by one of the city’s largest production companies. The competition is for a 2 minute trailer for a lifestyle television series. The winning contestants will be rewarded a $3,000 cash prize that we will be evenly dividing between the 3 team members.
The concept for our video trailer has to do with trend hunting and cultural luminaries; therefore, our ideal candidate will have some sense of style and pop culture. Additionally, we are looking for someone who is open minded with a professional and positive attitude.
Reasons why this might be of interest to you:
1) Minimal commitment: This is a one-day shoot without an extensive amount of preparation required for the role. While we have a script, the role will allow for improvisation and input.
2) A video to build your demo reel: If you are a new actor looking to build your reel – this is a role with lots of on-camera time and a quick turnaround. Upon completing our submission to the contest the actor will be able to receive a copy of their work in any requested format.
3) An opportunity to collaborate with local filmmakers. Combined, we have almost 10 years of work experience with both major broadcasters and local production companies.

Other important information:
1) Contest deadline is April 15th, therefore, the video shoot would need to take place within the next 7-10 days in order for sufficient editing time.
2) This video is intended for a tv-audience with a wide demographic; therefore, the role will not require profanities, violence or other inappropriate behavior.
