CASTING NOTICE FOR:
“Annie Musical Stage Play”
Harold Washington Cultural Center is casting for “Annie” Broadway musical based on the Little Orphan Annie comic strip. Performance runs on the weekend beginning April 5, 2013- June 2, 2013 at the Harold Washington Cultural Center, Chicago, IL.
Seeking- Annie (Youth) An 11-year-old redheaded orphan girl, optimistic and spunky, whose only wish is to find her parents, LEAD; Oliver “Daddy” Warbucks (Adult) late 40’s, Billionaire businessman who opens his home and heart to Annie, LEAD; Miss Hannigan (Adult)late 30’s The orphanage matron, disillusioned, she hates children, but is fond of alcoholic beverages, LEAD; Grace Farrell ( Adult )early 30’s Daddy Warbucks’ faithful secretary, who loves Annie from the start. SUPPORTING; Daniel “Rooster” Hannigan (Adult) mid 20’s, Miss Hannigan’s no-good brother, out for the quick buck, SUPPORTING; Lily St. Regis (Adult) early 20’s, Rooster’s girlfriend, is smarter than she appears. Molly, Pepper, Duffy, July, Tessie, and Kate, (Youth) The orphans at the orphanage, ages 6 to 13, LEAD; Franklin D. Roosevelt (Adult) mid 50’s, President of the United States, he aids Daddy Warbucks in the search for Annie’s parents, SUPPORTING; Louis Brandeis (Adult) Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, he is called upon to assist in Annie’s adoption. Drake, (Adult) the butler at the Warbucks Mansion; a good friend to Annie and Daddy Warbucks, Note: Some roles require singing and dancing
