Director, The Dueling Grounds

On March 11, The Dueling Grounds Stage Combat group is hosting auditions for fights this year. Auditions will be held at the Black Bear Crossings starting at 2pm and going to 4pm at the latest. The Dueling Grounds aer planning on having 2-3 shows each day and would like interested parties to prepare a 1-2 minute monologue, preferably memorized, but due to the short notice we will understand if people are still on book.
You will be expected to run through a short phrase of stage combat as a portion of the audition, so dress appropriately. The phrase will be provided at the auditions.
The shows being planned include Fighting Fairy Tales, Trial by Combat, and, pending approval, a Human Combat Chess match.
As a note, The Dueling Grounds will only cast actors who are expected to have an entertainment contract with the Minnesota Renaissance Festival (MRF) in 2012. In this case, an expected contract includes individuals who were contracted as entertainment in 2011 or plan on auditioning for the 2012 season at MRF.
