Ender’s Game Open Casting Call

The feature film ‘Ender’s Game’ is holding an open casting call for kids to be in the movie this weekend.

The much anticipated Ender’s Game is a fantastic sci-fi adventure film. The movie is based on the novel by Orson Scott Card. The film is casting kids to be extras and background in the movie. The casting call will be held in New Orleans. The casting directors are seeking kids and teens between 10 and 17 years old.

Summit Entertainment, the company behind the very popular Twilight series, is also going to be behind their new franchise, Ender’s Game.

Ender’s Game is set in Earth’s future after an alien war, Ender’s Game presents an imperiled humankind who have barely survived two conflicts with the Formics (an insectoid alien species also known as the “Buggers”). These aliens show an ant-like group behavior, and are very protective of their leader, much like Earth ants protecting their queen. The movie follows a boy named Ender Wiggin who has skills that allow him to attend a special school, a battle school for kids. Ender’s game will star Harrison Ford, Asa Butterfield, Hailee Steinfeld and Abigail Breslin.

Oscar-winning Director Gavin Hood will be filming Ender’s Game in New Orleans from February until June 2012, providing those selected with up to 8 weeks of work.. This big screen version of the movie is sure to be a fantastic adventure.

Ender’s Game extras open casting call and auditions for kids

Ender’s Game open casting call being held at the Hilton Garden Inn located in the Warehouse District of New Orleans on Saturday, January 14th from 11am to 3pm.

Alexis Allen, along with Batherson Casting, are seeking bright and talented kids and teens ages 10-17 of varying ethnic background for the feature film production of Orson Scott Card’s “Ender’s Game”; based on one of the most famous science fiction novels of the last 40 years.

Ender’s Game will be shooting in New Orleans from February through June 2012. The kids that are cast to be in the movie may get plenty of work on the film and upto 8 weeks of work may be available for the kids and teens that are chosen to be in the movie.
