SNOWFLAKE LANE 2012 AUDITIONS

Greg Thompson Productions is holding auditions for Majors, Majorettes, Costumed Characters, Stilt walkers as well as Drummers for our Holiday and New Year’s Eve shows at The Bellevue Collection. These positions are for entertainers who work outside on Bellevue Way during the nightly Snowflake Lane and Celebration Lane events which are sponsored by The Bellevue Collection (Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square and Bellevue Place). Duties include passing out treats, dancing and singing along to the music, assisting the performing drummers, interacting with the patrons and helping to generate a festive party atmosphere outdoors in all kinds of weather!
Majors, Majorettes, Jingle Belles, Costumed Characters and Stilt Walkers are the excitement and energy of our show. Therefore, those who audition need to be outgoing, have lots of energy and be ready to dance, play and have fun! These positions are for costumed entertainers who work outside on Bellevue Way during the nightly Snowflake Lane and Celebration Lane events which are sponsored by The Bellevue Collection (Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square and Bellevue Place). Duties include passing out treats, dancing and singing along to the music, assisting the performing drummers, interacting with the patrons and helping to generate a festive party atmosphere!
Dance and performance experience is a plus!
Drummers are the stars of the show! We are looking for “star quality” drummers to play snare, bass or cymbals who are outgoing, who have lots of energy, who are ready to perform and have some fun in all kinds of weather!
POSITIONS WE ARE FILLING:
• MASKED AND UNMASKED CHARACTERS: 4 REINDEER, 4 POLAR BEAR, 4 PENGUINS, 2 FROSTY, 4 PRINCESSES, 4 SUGAR PLUM FAIRIES, 4 MICE, 2 SNOW QUEENS, 2 SNOW KINGS
• 13 MAJORETTES AND MAJORS!
• 6 JINGLE BELLES!
• 11 STILTWALKERS!
• DANCERS!!!
• 56+ DRUMMERS! (A select few will be part of our “SNOWSTORM” drum group!)
• 2 DRUM TECHNICIANS
SHOW DATES AND DETAILS:
AUDITION and MEDIA EVENT: Saturday, October 6th, 2012 at Noon location TBA. (Please email us for details and information if you are interested. Auditions are required to perform.)
REHEARSAL: Sunday, November 11th, 2012 at Noon. Rehearsal is required to perform.
FITTINGS: To be scheduled with the wardrobe supervisor prior to opening.
SNOWFLAKE LANE: November 23rd – December 24th
CHRISTMAS DAY: Off
CELEBRATION LANE: December 26th -31st
PAY PER SHOW: $30 (Note: You will be required to do a costume fitting AND rehearsals prior to opening in order to work)
CALL TIME: 5:30 PM SHARP! (Note: Call time for opening night, Friday November 23th is 4:00 PM Sharp!)
TIME OF SHOW: 6:45PM (Drum show at 7:00) until approximately 7:30.
