Actors Workshop Theatre to hold rehearsals and workshops on Thursday and Fridays in January-February, 2014. Production of theatre to be three nights in beginning of March. One will be a community service opportunity.
Class to be no more than 15 people.
Pay: One student will be awarded full scholarship to the workshop and two others awarded 1/2 price scholarships. Scholarships awarded based in auditions.
Workshop to be led by actor/producer, Kevin Barbaro (imdb.com/name/nm5750775) and Facebook.com/kevinmichael.barbaro and will include guest speakers from world of Entertainment.
Workshop will focus on character development and script analysis. Casting for the production will come from auditions. Also casting for understudies and crew.
Great way to get a glimpse of theatre. Improve your acting skills and networking. Workshops are very popular in NYC and LA. Very affordable. Build your resume.
Kevin Barbaro is currently filming “Bar Chronicles” where he is the main character and costars with Todd Bridges (Diff’rent Strokes/Everybody Hates Chris). He is also filming a supporting role in the feature-length film “Count Time The Movie” in Detroit and is in preproduction on a costarring role in the upcoming feature-length film “Folie a Duex” to be filmed in Washington DC in April.
He has helped produce three feature-length films and has started in several Off Broadway productions in NYC. He is also filming pilots this fall for a 30-minute comedy series “‘Napolis”, where he is the main character and “The Male Point” which is a weekly talk show where he is one of four co-hosts. “The Male Point” will be based out of Atlanta and will be weekly beginning in Fall of 2014.
