Auditions for “Grease” New Jersey

The Off Broad Street Players are producing GREASE in January/February of 2014.

Director/Choreographer, John T. Stephan, is seeking a cast of 25-30 performers, ages 17 and up, who can dance, sing, and act well.

Auditions will be held Tuesday, October 8th and Thursday, October 10th at 7pm.
Callbacks will be held Tuesday, October 22nd at 7pm.

All auditions and callbacks will be held at The Levoy Theatre, 130 N. High Street, Millville, NJ

Those wishing to audition should prepare a song (32 bars maximum) preferably up-tempo in the style of the show (50’s rock-n-roll or doo-wop). An accompanist will be provided, but singers are asked to provide their own sheet music.

The production will run January 31, February 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, and 9. All those interested in auditioning must be available for all performances there will be no understudies for this production.

Danny Zuko- Leader of the Burger Palace Boys, cool and confident.

Kenickie- Second in command; tough, surly.

Doody- Youngest of the guys; small, boyish, plays guitar.

Roger- One of the boys; a clown who enjoys putting people on.

Sonny- Braggart and wheeler dealer; thinks he’s a real lady killer.

Eugene- Class valedictorian; nerdy but smug.

Vince Fontaine- Rock-n-Roll disc jockey; slick. Fast-talking.

Johnny Casino- “Greaser” type leader of high school rock band; thinks he’s a ladies man.

Teen Angel- Good looking, Fabian style singer.

Sandy- Sweet, wholesome, naïve and cute.
