SYNOPSIS: This revolutionary rock opera that changed the face of Broadway tells the story of a group of young bohemians struggling to live and pay their rent. “Measuring their lives in love,” these starving artists strive for success and acceptance while enduring the obstacles of poverty, illness and the AIDS epidemic. This staging of RENT will be presented in a 360-degrees multimedia theatrical experience unlike anything ever seen in London, directed by two-time Brickenden award winning director Dariusz Korbiel, and staged in one of London’s Hottest clubs, Lavish.

Actors/Singers are asked to come prepared with an uptempo pop, rock, or contemporary musical theatre song, to be sung without an accompaniment. Although those wishing to accompaniment themselves on acoustic guitar, may do so. Please DO NOT come prepared with material from RENT.
Rehearsals will take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings (6-10pm), and all day Sunday (10am-6pm) begin in May 19, not all actors will be required to be present at all rehearsals, and at all times. You must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this production. Non-paying.

CAST REQUIREMENTS: Please note all roles have been cast for the exception of those listed below. All characters should look between the ages of 19 and 30, except for whose stated elsewhere. ALL RACES WELCOME.
• Tom Collins – an HIV+ computer genius, and lover of Angel. Baritone.
• Benjamin Coffin III – wealthy landlord owner, and former friend of the tenants. Tenor.
• Angel Dumott Schunard – a transgender street drummer infected with HIV, dancer with a magnetic personality. Tenor.
