Open casting call in Tampa Florida – Singers, Actors and Performers
Are you a performer looking for a steady gig? Busch Gardens in Tampa is holding an open casting call next month for performers of all kinds! The company is seeking to hire actors, dancers, singers, specialty acts, stilt walkers and costumed characters for their seasonal shows and ongoing work. They are casting now for their show lineup in 2014 and all performers hired will have a paid contract as well as many other perks that the company offers their performers.
Busch Gardens is owned by Seaworld and is a 335-acre themed park which includes many animal themes. The park is located in Tampa, Florida. It contains numerous amounts of animal themed exhibits, live shows and thrill rides such as coasters. For Halloween, the park is transformed into Howl-O-Scream which includes haunted houses and other spooky attractions for the season.
Please note that you must be 18 or older to audition for this.

Busch Gardens is currently looking for singers, dancers, musicians and actors for our 2014 Season!
To be considered for these positions, you must be available for daytime shifts starting in January with evening rehearsals beginning in December. Please review the requirements below to help determine what positions you are interested in.
Call Times
- Actors & Stilt Walkers 11:00 am
- Singers (If you would like to audition with a monologue, come at 11:00 am) 12:00 pm
- Costumed Characters 2:30 pm
- Musicians 2:30 pm
- Dancers 4:00 pm
- Specialty Acts By Appointment
- Technicians By Appointment
Singers:
- Looking for male & female singers who move well
- A capella experience & comedic acting required for certain roles
- Please prepare 32 bars of a contemporary pop song that shows off your range
- Please have a 1 minute comedic monologue prepared. We may or may not need to hear it.
- Callbacks will be held later that day. Please make arrangements to be available if needed.
Musicians:
- Looking for guitar, bass, drum kit and keyboard players
- Must be technically proficient and able to read music
- Please prepare two 1 minute pieces (one Motown tune and one Rock tune) on your best instrument .
Costume Characters:
- Looking for seasonal costume characters for our Sesame Street Safari of Fun area and our Madagascar Live! Operation Vacation show. Must be available for day shifts daily. Weekend availability a must.
- Must be between 4’10” and 6’2” and able to follow choreography.
- Must be able to stand for up to 2 hours at a time.
- Must be able to carry the weight of a full costume character for up to 1 hour at a time.
- Will need to withstand the Florida weather while in costume.
- At the audition, you will be asked to learn a simple dance combination, participate in improv exercises, and demonstrate physical fitness ability.
Actors & Stilt Walkers:
- Looking for experienced performers with the ability to improv and give clear directions
- Please prepare a 1 minute comedic monologue
