New Harlem Renaissance Productions in association with Kaimone Productions and Producer Latrice Curry-Ranson is currently seeking actors for the promotional trailer for our short film, “The Monster In My Closet;” an adaptation of the upcoming novel, “The Rape Dairies” by Writer/Director: Malcolm X. Johnson. The promo trailer will be used for fundraising purposes.
This film deals with mature adult situations and contains some sexually explicit subject matter. Please do not apply if you do not feel comfortable with this type of material.
SYNOPSIS:
Fifteen year old Desirae Foster and her best friend seventeen year old Nina Cox go on the run after they murder Desirae’s foster mother Giselle and Giselle’s sexually abusive boyfriend Damion.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
Giselle: Caucasian. Early to mid 40’s. Heavy set or Slender.
Damion: Caucasian. Early to mid 40’s. Trailer trash.
Nina: African-American or Hispanic. Must be able to pass for 16-18. Tom-boyish yet feminine.
Desirae: African-American(Dark skin tone). Must be able to pass for 14-17. *Must be 20 or over.
