CASTING CALL FOR BROWN, BLACK, ASIAN & QUEER ACTORS IN LEAD ROLES FOR CAPITAL FRINGE 2013 PRODUCTION
Seeking non-union actors with some theatre education and/or stage experience to play the following lead roles in an original work titled, “Bedroom Mirrors” that debuts at Capital Fringe Festival in July 2013.
Available Roles:
-1 actor to play a character who presents as a woman to the public, but does not identify as male or female. 20s-30s, race/ethnicity open. Queer and trans actors encouraged to audition.
-1 Asian-American male, 20s-30s. *Will play roles in two stories*
-1 Black female, 20s-30s, who is plus size.
-1 South Asian female to play an Indian, 20s-30s.
-1 South Asian male to play an Indian, 20s-30s.

Auditions will be held by appointment with walk-ins if time permits on:
Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 6:30pm-8:30pm ET. The audition location is the PET Study Room B at the Petworth Public Library located at 4200 Kansas Ave. NW (off of Georgia Ave NW), Washington D.C. 20011 (Metro Stop: Georgia Avenue-Petworth).

About the play: Indulge your inner voyeur and witness three short bedroom stories: a secret affair between the most unlikely people, two shattered lovers yearning to be whole, and a booty call that turns into so much more. Heat between the sheets turns into a psychological and emotional exploration of what happens when dreamers stop dreaming and start chasing. Arouse your mind and join us for an intimate look into relationships hidden from your eyes by bedroom walls.
Each piece is separate and runs around 20 minutes and will features two actors. This play contains adult content and offensive language. No nudity or sexual acts are involved. As an actor in this production, you’ll be part of a tight Fringe Festival team. Actors will receive a share of any profits made and there will be a few team dinners.
