Les Misérables – Broad Brook Connecticut – Theater Musical Auditions

Les Misérables is a musical that is based on the French historical novel of the same name by Victor Hugo – the novel explores the history, politics and social situations in 19 Century France. The novel has been turned into a musical as well as a film in recent years.
The Opera House Players are pleased to announce auditions for the 2013-2014 season finale musical “Les Misérables.” Auditions for all roles for adults and children.
Auditioners should prepare 16 bars of a song from the show or in a similar Broadway style. Also, be prepared for cold readings from the script. An accompanist will be provided, but auditioners should bring their own sheet music and/or scores (neither will be provided by the theatre). A photo and résumé are recommended, but not required.

Adult auditions will be held Sunday 12/8/13 @ 6-9pm; and Monday 12/9/13 @7-10pm.
Youth auditions are Saturday, 12/7/13 @ 12 noon-4pm.
A sign-up sheet will be available upon arrival at the theatre. Actors are seen in the order of sign-in. Callbacks by invitation on Tuesday, 12/10/13 @7pm.
Rehearsal dates for the production are Tuesday & Thursday 7-9:30pm, Sundays 1-6pm, beginning February 4, 2014. Performance dates are May 2-18, 2014.
