AUDITIONS FOR THE DINNER DETECTIVE

WHO WE ARE
The largest murder mystery dinner show in the United States, now opening in Boston. The show is semi-improvised, with the actors hidden among and interacting with the paying audience. Most shows take place on Saturday nights and run from 4:30-9:30pm including rehearsals.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for comedic actors, performers and improvisers that are comfortable interacting with
audience members in semi-scripted situations. Our shows are set in a modern-day environment, and for the most part, you will be expected to blend in with the audience. We will also be casting for the
leading role of Detective, those who run the show and “interrogate” audience members (must be an
excellent improvisor/comedic actor). You will not be asked to work every show, and we can accommodate most schedules. All rehearsals take place immediately before shows, and only actors who are scheduled to work a particular show need to be at the rehearsal. All actors will receive compensation, and most actors will also receive full dinner service plus tips!
WHAT WE NEED
Half- hour slots will be scheduled for noon, 12:30, 1, and 1:30. Please send an email to
boston.info@thedinnerdetective.com with all slots you can make. Please bring a headshot and an acting resume to the audition. You will not need to bring or prepare anything else. We’ll mostly be playing improv games and talking as a group.
