Open Auditions for Singers

The Mets baseball team will have open auditions for singers to sing the National Anthem to the stadium crowd on opening day 2014. Open singer auditions will be held at Citi field on the 21st.

The New York Mets are holding open auditions for the chance to sing the National Anthem on Opening Day March 31 2014 at Citi Field.

Auditions:
Thursday November 21
Citi Field
10:00 a.m.

Entrance: Citi Field Hodges VIP Gate
Audition: Citi Field Press Conference Room

Season ticket holders: 9:00 a.m.

• Event begins at 10:00 a.m.
• Participants should arrive at Citi Field’s Hodges VIP Entrance. Parking is available in Lot G.
• Participants will be assigned an audition number upon arrival.
• All auditioning children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
• The first 100 people to arrive will be guaranteed an audition.
• Participants will have approximately 60 seconds to sing any song of his or her choice, excluding the National Anthem. All singers must perform a cappella (without musical accompaniment)
• Instrumental performances are allowed.

The first 100 performers to arrive at Hodges VIP are guaranteed an audition to sing a song of their choice (excluding the National Anthem) a cappella.

Judges will select finalists to advance to the final round of auditions which will take place at Citi Field in the weeks leading up to the start of the season.

One singer will then be chosen by the Mets to perform live on opening day.

All ages are welcome to audition but those under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
