12 Years A Slave creator John Ridley has a new show coming to ABC
The show is now filming in the Austin Texas area and there is a casting call for extras out for scenes shooting next week. On Location Casting is seeking people for a party scene. They are casting hip and stylish types between the ages of 21 and 28.
John Ridley’s new TV project takes on the heavy topic of racial tension in America. The show is set in central California where a horrible crime is committed. “American Crime” centers on a racially charged murder and the trial that follows. The story is examined through the lives of the people involved in the trial and in the community. Ridley wrote the script and is also acting as the shows executive producer. Also producing the series is former ABC Studios exec Michael McDonald .
The scene will be filming on the 5th of next month and all applying must be local to Austin Texas with proof of Texas residency.

AUSTIN, TX Casting Notice – ABC series ‘American Crime’ for work on TUESDAY 8/5/14 (*if selected you will also need to be able to attend a wardrobe FITTING sometime next week!)
Pay rate for EXTRAS is $58.00 for 8 hours ($7.25/hour with an 8 hour guarantee). Overtime will be paid after 8 hours. You will receive a check in the mail 7-10 business days AFTER you work.
We do NOT have any Call Times yet so you would need to be available ALL DAY/evening. You MUST have open/flexible availability if submitting so that you can work WHATEVER the call times ends up being. If not, please DO NOT SUBMIT!
Location is in the AUSTIN, TX area.
