AMC ‘Halt & Catch Fire’ Extras casting update for Atlanta

AMC is producing a new show that will be part of the AMC summer lineup. The new series “Halt & Catch Fire” chronicles the race in the 80’s to build the next big thing in personal computers, that one product that will revolutionize computing new series about the rise in personal computers in the 80’s. “Halt and Catch Fire” is now casting extras in the Atlanta area.

They are seeking restaurant hostess type with some serious… big, 80’s hair as well as men and women to play restaurant patrons from the 80’s.  They are also interested in people who have cars older than I am, just kidding. They want pre-1983 cars to use in the film.

Halt & Catch Fire” is one of 2 new series that are being produced for AMC in 2014. The other new series is “Turn“, which is also in production right now.

AMCSummer 2014 will heat up with the June premiere of “Halt and Catch Fire,” which captures the rise of the PC era in the early 1980s, during which an unlikely trio – a visionary, an engineer and a prodigy – take staggering personal and professional risks in the race to build a computer that will change the world. Later in the summer will bring the season four roll-out of the AMC western “Hell On Wheels,” which grew to an average audience of 3.3 million viewers (live plus three days of time shifting) in its move to Saturday nights in 2013. “Turn” and “Halt and Catch Fire” are produced by AMC Studios and both series will be distributed internationally through Entertainment One (eOne) Television.

The shows casting directors are seeking the following paid extras:

Looking for a restaurant hostess type with shoulder length hair — big 1980’s hair — 20’s to 30’s — Also looking for some upscale cars 1983 or older — Lastly looking for a few additional men and women 20’s to 50’s to portray upscale restaurant patrons and both with 1983 hair and possibly facial for guys — all for Wednesday and Thursday this week — possible fittings for some tomorrow so flexible schedules are ideal!
