African American Paid Extras Needed in Austin
A TV pilot is currently filming in the Austin TX area and production is looking for some real life Krump dancers! Also, they are looking for fans of Krump dancing for a party scene they will be filming.
For those that do not know what krumping is… it’s a exaggerated form of dance that is not choreographed and is usually done freestyle especially in the form of dance battles.It is a form of street dance whose origins trace back to the Los Angeles area and the movement has spread across the nation.
If you are a Krumper in the Austin Texas area, casting directors may be interested in talking to you about inclusion in a dance scene filming this month.
This is for work on the “American Crime” TV pilot whose story depicts racial tensions brought up during a murder trial. The pilot is created by “12 Years a Slave” creator, John Riddley and is being created for the ABC Network.
Those cast will work on FRIDAY 3/21/14 (tentative) in the Austin Texas area.
Pay rate is $200.00 for 8 hours plus overtime paid after 8 hours (if necessary).

You must have open availability day or night. There are no call times set yet. Those selected will receive call times via email. The shoot may start very early morning or go into the night.
DANCERS
KRUMP DANCERS: male and female, all ethnicities but primarily African American, age range 18-35, experienced KRUMPING dancers. (see video)

You MUST include your first & last name, contact number, a recent photo of yourself (can be a camera phone pic) and tell us a little about your krumping experience. If you have any video, that would be great too! (but not required)
We will also need PARTY GUESTS and KRUMP fans for this scene, so if you aren’t a Krumper but hang out at parties where people krump dance or you go to krump battles and would like to be an extra in this party scene (pay rate for non-dancers is $7.25/hr) – you can also email us with subject line KRUMP PARTY GUEST.
