Auditions for Amazon Studios / ABC Signature TV Show

ABC Studios and Amazon Studios are teaming up on a new show based on the Civil War.

The two studios will be co-producers on the project. Amazon has been making an aggressive push into the original content arena and has ordered the “Point of Honor” pilot for its streaming Amazon Prime service. Helming the series is “Secretariat” director Randall Wallace and the show is written by written by Wallace and Carlton Cuse (“Lost”). Executive producing the show is former ABC exec Barry Rosen and Carlton Cuse.

The show is a historical drama that tells the story of on Virginia family that gets caught up in the Civil War which divides them.

The pilot will be filmed in the Virginia area and Arvold casting is holding auditions this week for speaking and co-starring roles.

Auditions are being held this week by way of video submissions or in person in Richmond. The show’s casting directors are looking for actors that are local to the area or within a 500 mile radius of the Richmond area. Callbacks will begin on the 31st and the show will be filming in September.

ADOLPHUS – 50s – 60s, African American. Male. A nearly deaf Point of Honor slave who reacts to news delivered by John (CAST) and Kate (CAST). (1 SCENE / 3 LINES). [CO-STAR]

HANY – 23, African American. Female. A Point of Honor slave who carries out an order from the white overseer. (1 SCENE / 1 LINE) [CO-STAR]

MR. CRADDOCK – 50s, Caucasian. Male. An aristocratic businessman, Craddock bulls his way into conversations. (2 SCENES / 3 LINES) [CO-STAR] Possible recurring.

BEN HOWLAND – 20s, Caucasian. Male. A young Virginian who is riding with Garland (CAST) when they confront a scouting party of Union soldiers. Equestrian skills preferred. (8 SCENES / 6 LINES) [CO-STAR]
