Casting Call for Kids in New York City for TV Show “Mysteries of Laura”

Debra Messing’s new show “The Mysteries of Laura” is filming the new season in the New York area.

Grant Wilfley Casting of NYC is looking for kids between the ages of 8 and 10 to play some karate kids. This will be a karate school scene and will be filming this coming Thursday so if interested, be sure to apply ASAP. The show’s casting directors will only consider kids from the NY / Tri-State area only. Please do not apply if you live out of the area.

The new NBC show just premiered this September but is still filming season 1. THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA stars Emmy Award-winner Debra Messing (Will & Grace)as Laura Diamond. Laura is a homicide detective working at a precinct in NYC. She is also the mother of twins. Laura may not always look completely pulled together, being the mother of twins may do that to a woman, but her gut feelings and hunches are usually enough to track down the suspects and solve the crimes. Her soon to be ex-husband is also a cop but usually unavailable to help out much which leaves Laura straddling that fine line between motherhood and police work. Laura is on a quest to have it all… a demanding career and an even more demanding family and she will definitely try to make it all work, no matter…. or who, what gets in her way.
