Amazon will be adding some new shows to its streaming lineup. One of those new shows is “Gortimer Gibbons Life on Normal Street“.
The new show is now filming in the Los Angeles area and casting directors with Sande Alessi (“The Lone Ranger“, “Austin Powers“, “Pirates of the Caribbean“, “Argo“) of L.A. are looking for a few L.A. locals with some very specific looks to work on the show as paid extras.
Life is anything but normal for Gortimer and his two best friends, Ranger and Mel, as they navigate Normal Street – an ordinary suburb that has a hint of something magical just beneath the surface. The new show is about 3 kinda quirky kids who are surrounded by some eccentric characters in a world where life is not as normal as it seems and strange things are happening.
“Gortimer Gibbons Life on Normal Street” will star Sloane Morgan Siegel, Drew Justice, Ashley Boettcher, Fionnula Flanagan and Robyn Lively. The series is written by David W Anaxagoras and the shows pilot episode which came out some months ago on Amazon was directed by Oscar winner Luke Matheny (“God of Love,” “Maron”).
Sloane Morgan Siegel will play the lead adult role of Gortimer’s elderly neighbor. Drew Justice (“The Little Rascals Save the Day”), Ashley Boettcher (“Aliens in the Attic”) and Robin Lively who was previously on “Saving Grace” will also be a part of the main cast. This will be a children’s show about friendship and family relationships. According to The Wrap, the series was created by newcomer David Anaxagoras who got his show picked up and discovered through the Amazon Studios open submission process for writers.
