Dreamcatcher is a heart-felt, emotional film, filmed on location at the Dreamcatcher horse and rescue center in Clermont, FL.
We are looking to cast the following roles:
Kelly (Female, white, mid 20’s) The star of the film. Kelly overcomes several challenges in life (death of her parents, an eating disorder) by working with and rescuing abused horses and animals. Based on the real work that happens every day at the Dreamcatcher Ranch, Kelly needs to be vulnerable, yet thick skinned emotionally, but strong physically. Candidates with prior experience working with horses, a ranch hand, horseback riding a plus. Must not be afraid to sweat, get dirty, but still be able to pull off that imperfect girl next door look. But yet be attractive for the boys.
Stephanie (Female, white, mid 20’s) Stephanie is Kelly’s best friend who has been away at college and is coming home. She is the opposite of Kelly. She is the party girl, hates to get dirty or work. Very carefree and used to having to responsibility. However transforms during the movie into a hard worker on the ranch. Candidates must be able to display that party girl, while also showing a little vulnerability, emotion and with a bit of humor, transform into a ranch woman. Must not be afraid to get dirty, sweat and working with horses a plus.
