Background talent wanted on Powers in Atlanta, GA
Sony Playstation is coming into the realm of original scripted series with “powers“, a comic book based show about a detective who investigates crimes committed by super villains who have supernatural Powers.
Earlier this year, Sony announced that the new streaming series will hit our TV screens later this year and has ordered 10 episodes of the live action series.
“Powers” is created by Bendis and Oeming and has been a successful comic series since the mid 2000’s. Sony will now be bringing the “Powers” story to its millions of Playstation subscribers. The series will be offered for free to members of their premium Playstation Plus service. The show will be available to Sony’s base of Playstation Plus subscribers this winter.
Sharlto Copley will star as Christian Walker, an ex-superhero turned police detective. He is joined by Michelle Forbes who will be playing his right hand lady Deena Pilgrim. In “Powers” super powers are no all that uncommon. Christian Walker lost his in a battle but didn’t let his lack of super powers prevent him from doing what he loves, kickin bad guy butt. In the series, Walker investigates crimes that are committed by super villains.
The show is looking for lots of extras and there have been a good amount of extras calls coming out for “Powers” each week. Currently, the show is looking for lots of different types, lawyers, superheroes, cops, moms, people with their dogs, hipsters, dancing hipsters, club goers and more. The show’s casting directors at CL Casting are also interested in people with cars that can be used in the scenes.

The show films in the Atlanta, Georgia area and those applying must live in the area or within a reasonable driving distance in order to be considered.
