The NBC post apocalyptic TV series ‘Revolution‘ is filming in the Austin Texas area and casting directors have released a casting call for paid extras to portray soldiers.
Those selected will work next week in Austin, TX. This is for a 2 day booking and talent must be able to work both days. This is for background work on the 13th and the 17th to work in Taylor and Cedar Park TX.
The production is looking to cast men 25 to 53, people who have some military experience and are able to lift 50 lbs. The costumes and accessories for the shoot will be heavy, so extras on set may have some strenuous activity.
‘Revolution‘ sci-fi series set in post-apocalyptic America. The show is set many years after a massive blackout takes out everything electronic with the inability to be restored. The series follows a group of survivors as they try to make it in this new world filled with lawless chaos.
The Matheson family, Ben, Charlie, and Danny, live in what is left of Chicago. Like the rest of the new world, Chicago is controlled by militia and warlords. The Matheson family possess a device which may offer clues into what happened 15 years back when the blackout happened and maybe even possible clues as how to reverse it.

‘Revolution‘ is created by Eric Kripke (Supernatural) and produced by J. J. Abrams and his production company, Bad Robot. The show airs on NBC on Monday nights and it premiered in September of last year.
The series has been renewed for a new season. The pilot for the series was directed by Jon Favreau whose other projects included the block busters Iron Man, Iron Man 2 & 3, The Avengers and Cowboys & Aliens.
