New York City student film casting call for 5 roles ages 11 to 26

Unexcused Absence

Portrays the adventure of two suburban male teens sick of their slow paced lives and looking for a change in scenery. It all begins when the boys escape from school en route for NYC. Their day is full of mischief, skateboarding, and drama throughout Manhattan. As their day is quickly wrapping up to an end, it becomes a race of time to get home. Or the boys are going to have a lot of explaining to do to mom.

The film will be shot throughout iconic parts of New York City and in a surrounding suburb Rockland County. Food will be provided on set.

Character Breakdowns:

Luke: (13) Confident, Skateboarder, Instigator for all situations, knows how to play cool in most situations (Looking for ages 11-16)

Jake: (13) Luke’s best friend, skateboarder, follower, slightly timid (Looking for ages 11-16)

Stephanie: Luke’s cousin, Hooters waitress, lacks confidence (Looking for ages 18-26)

Luke’s Mother: is self absorbed and oblivious of what Luke is always really up to

Hooters Waitress: Stuck up girl, talks like a (dumb blonde), very over dramatic about the littlest of things (Looking for ages 18-26)

Bum: Quiet bum, has a very scraggly look

Also looking for extras to make crowds with, fill the restaurant scene, and to fill a family party scene.
