Open Call for lead in Nick Nolte Film “Weightless” – Bakersfield CA

It’s not often that auditions come to Bakersfield but casting directors for a major motion picture starring Nick Nolte are doing exactly that.

The movie “Weightless” will be in Bakersfield on the 7th hoping to find a boy to fill the lead role. The film is not looking for just any boy, they are seeking one who physically fits the role of a 10 year old who is quite overweight. The film is looking to cast an 8 to 12 year old boy whose weight falls in the 150 lbs to 300 lbs range.

No acting experience is required and this is a SAG project with professional level pay.

Weightless,” starring Nolte and Jason Clarke (“Zero Dark Thirty”), “is about a father (Clarke) and his son, Will, who need to learn how to be a family again after the mom disappears and cope with childhood obesity issues,” the email states.
