Open Video Casting Call for Horror Short (Corridors of Darkness) (Asheville, NC)
We are currently in the last stages of pre-production for our short horror/thriller Corridors of Darkness. We can’t offer pay for this project, however, food, drink, and a fun time will be provided. I’ll post a short synopsis of the film below.
Collegiate ballerina, Elise, has just been shanghaied by a crazed, immortal violinist. He’s been mutilated and cursed to live forever by a gypsy woman. Desperate, he searches out the gypsy’s descendants – who just happens to be Elise. The only way to regain his life of fame is to kill Elise. Trapped in a building with the man, and running for her life, Elise must depend on her lifelong friend, Madelyn, to rescue her from the darkness. Together, they must find a way to survive the night.
We are casting for the following actors:
Elise – Any Ethnicity* (Early twenties) An athletic collegiate dancer, approximately 5’5” to 5’8” tall. Elise has a very sweet personality. She’s also determined and driven. (Lead Role)
Madelyn – Caucasian* (Early twenties) A college student and Elise’s best friend since birth, approximately 5’2” to 5’8” tall. Madelyn is a quirky yet resourceful young woman. (Lead Role)
Allison – Any Ethnicity* (Early twenties) A college student approximately 5’2” to 5’9” tall. Goofy happy-go-lucky personality. (Minor Role)
*This is an open casting call. We are currently accepting video auditions only. Please upload your audition to YouTube, set the video to unlisted, then send me the link via email. If you’re auditioning for either Elise or Madelyn please prepare scenes 2 and 22. For Allison it’s scene 16. If interested just send me an email and I’ll send you the screenplay.
