The Jackie’s Song Foundation is a 501 (c)3 performing arts foundation. Through our ART-is-IN performing arts day camp experience, we produce Christian children’s musicals worldwide. Our published works have been produced in 8 different countries on 4 continents. We are developing a new production and are seeking child talent — boys and girls — age 9-12 to learn and professionally record the voices on the education CDs that are distributed to nearly 2000 performers each year through our camp programs. CDs are also used in schools and churches as educational resources and are marketed through our for-profit music production company – Fortissimo Productions.
Rehearsals for Recording are held in Fredericksburg, VA at the recording studio and all rehearsals are mandatory.
Schedule is as follows:
Open Audition — Saturday, December 6 9 am – 4 pm
(audition will include a cold read from a teleprompter and your choice of song. You must provide your own accompaniment. CD/Mp3/or live accompanist acceptable)
Cast list will be determined by Monday, December 8
Rehearsals: Monday December 29 – Thursday January 1 (yes, on the holiday) 9 AM – 4 PM — all rehearsals are mandatory.
Solo Recording in the studio, Friday, January 2 (performers chosen for solos will receive an appointment time for their solo recording)
Drama Recording in the studio: ALL performers will be present for the drama recording (done from a teleprompter) to record assigned parts. Friday, January 2 2-4 PM
Choral Recording in the studio: ALL performers will be part of the choral recording: Saturday, January 3, 9 am – 4 PM (usually wraps early.)
ALL recording sessions are mandatory.
Pays $125 per performer for the entire project plus credit listing in CD liner notes, and 25 copies of the final press CD
